Η Ένωση Ελλήνων Αθλητών, που ιδρύθηκε την προηγούμενη ημέρα, με πρόεδρο τον Παναγιώτη Παρασκευόπουλο, αργυρό ολυμπιονίκη των 1ων Ολυμπιακών, απαιτεί να διεξαχθούν οι Παναθηναϊκοί Αγώνες στις 30 και 31 Μαρτίου, αλλά το αίτημά της θα απορριφθεί από τον υπουργό Παιδείας και η Ένωση θα οδηγηθεί σταδιακά σε διάλυση
