Ο Λιθουανός σκακιστής Άρον Νίμζοβιτς (Aron Nimzowitsch ή Aaron Nimzovich) πεθαίνει από καρκίνο σε ηλικία 48 ετών στην Κοπεγχάγη, όπου είχε μετακομίσει μετά την Ρωσική Επανάσταση του 1917 και είχε πάρει την Δανική υπηκοότητα. Θεωρείται ο τρίτος καλύτερος παίκτης στον κόσμο πίσω από τον Αλεξάντερ Αλιέχιν (Alexander Alekhine) και τον Χοσέ Ραούλ Καπαμπλάνκα (Jose Raul Capablanca). Έχει γράψει τρία βιβλία για την στρατηγική στο σκάκι: “My System” (1925), “Chess Praxis” και “The Blochade”.
Latvian chess player Aron Nimzowitsch (or Aaron Nimzovich) dies of cancer at the age of 48 in Copenhagen, where he moved after the 1917 Russian revolution and obtained the Danish citizenship. He is considered to by the third best player in the world behind Alexander Alekhine and Jose Raul Capablanca. He wrote three books on chess strategy: “My System” (1925), “Chess Praxis” and “The Blochade”.
