H “Ολυμπιακή”, με το νέο όνομα Olympic Air, και με την στήριξη της MIG, ξεκινά επίσημα τη λειτουργία της. Δύο ημέρες πριν, στις 29/9/2009, με την παύση της Olympic Airlines, είχε ξεκινήσει δοκιμαστικές πτήσεις.
The new Olympic, renamed as Olympic Air and in the hands of Marfin Investment Group (MIG), makes its official full-scale opening. Two days earlier, on 29/9/2009, it commenced limited operations after Olympic Airlines ceased all operations.
