Ο Παναθηναϊκός νικά την Maccabi Electra με 78-80 στον τελικό του Final Four της Euroleague στην Βαρκελώνη και κατακτά τον τίτλο για 6η φορά στην ιστορία του. Η Euroleague έχει τοποθετήσει τον τελικό στις 17.30 ώρα Ισραήλ, τιμώντας την εθνική επέτειο των «πεσόντων στρατιωτών» του Ισραήλ, η οποία ξεκινά με το ηλιοβασίλεμα, δηλαδή στις 19.28. Ο Βέλιμιρ Ομπράντοβιτς, που ήδη είναι ο πιο πολυνίκης προπονητής στην Euroleague, φτάνει τους 8 τίτλους, τους τελευταίους 5 με τον Παναθηναϊκό. Ο Δημήτρης Διαμαντίδης ανακηρύσσεται MVP της Euroleague 2010-11 και γίνεται ο πρώτος παίκτης στην ιστορία που κερδίζει και τα 3 βραβεία που δίνονται στο τέλος της σεζόν -του MVP, του Καλύτερου Αμυντικού και του Μέλους της Καλύτερης Πρώτης Ομάδας της Euroleague. Επίσης, ο Διαμαντίδης με 18 ασσίστ στο Final Four σπάει το ρεκόρ των 17 σε ένα Final Four που είχαν οι Vasily Karasev της CSKA Moscow (Παρίσι 1996) και Terrell McIntyre της Montepaschi Siena (Μαδρίτη 2008). Επίσης, μαζί με τον Pargo της Maccabi ισοφαρίζει το ρεκόρ των 9 ασσίστ σε τελικό που κρατούσε ο Arriel McDonald από τον τελικό της SuproLeague το 2001 στο Παρίσι.
Panathinaikos beat Maccabi Electra 78-70 at the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four Final at Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona and is crowned European champion for the sixth time in the team’s history. Furthermore, with 18 assists during the Final Four, Diamantidis sets a new Euroleague standard for assists in a single Final Four breaking the 17 assists, shared by Vasily Karasev of CSKA Moscow, who accomplished the feat in 1996 in Paris and Terrell McIntyre of Montepaschi Siena who tied his in 2008 in Madrid. At the same time, both Diamantidis and Pargo tie the competition record for assists in the title game with 9, a record set by Arriel McDonald in the 2001 SuproLeague final in Paris.
