Ολυμπιακοί Αγώνες
Πεθαίνει ο Jim Thorpe στην Καλιφόρνια από καρδιακή προσβολή του οποίου τα ολυμπιακά μετάλλια του 1912 (στο πένταθλο και στο δέκαθλο) είχαν αφαιρεθεί στις 27/1/1913. Η ΔΟΕ θα αποφασίσει στις 13/10/1982 να του τα επιστρέψει και ο Juan Antonio Samaranch θα τα παραδώσει στην οικογένειά του στις 18/1/1983
Jim Thorpe dies of heart attack in California. On January 27, 1913 he was deprived of his olympic medals (in pentathlon and decathlon at the 1912 Olympics). By decision of the International Olympic Committee Juan Antonio Samaranch will give back the medals to his family on January 18, 1983
