Ολυμπιακοί Αγώνες
Πεθαίνει σε ηλικία 97 ετών ο Λουις Ζαμπερίνι, δρομέας μέσων αποστάσεων με συμμετοχή στους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του Βερολίνου το 1936. Το 1943 υπηρετώντας στον αμερικανικό στρατό καταρρίπτεται το βομβαρδιστικό του στον ωκεανό και επιπλέοντας σε μία σχεδία επί 47 ημέρες, συλλαμβάνεται από τους Ιάπωνες στα Νησιά Μάρσαλ. Στις 17/11/2014 θα κάνει πρεμιέρα στο Σίδνεϊ η ταινία με τίτλο “Unbroken” σε σκηνοθεσία της Angelina Jolie.
American WWII veteran and Olympic distance runner Louis Zamperini dies aged 97. In 1941, he survived in a raft for 47 days after his bomber crash-landed in the ocean during the Second World War, before being captured by the Japanese and being sent to a series of prisoner of war camps. “Unbroken”, the film depicting his story, directed by Angelina Jolie, will released on 17/11/2014 in Sydney, Australia
