Ο 34χρονος επιθετικός Lionel Messi κατακτά για 8η φορά στην καριέρα του την Χρυσή Μπάλα στην 67η τελετή που διεξάγεται στο “Theatre du Chatelet” του Παρισιού και γίνεται o γηραιότερος παίκτης που την κερδίζει στην νέα της μορφή, ο πρώτος παίκτης που αγωνίζεται εκτός Ευρώπης, ο πρώτος που την κερδίζει με 3 διαφορετικούς συλλόγους και ο 7ος παίκτης στην ιστορία που την ίδια χρονιά κατακτά Παγκόσμιο Κύπελλο και Χρυσή Μπάλα. Η Aitana Bonmatí κατακτά την πρώτη της Χρυσή Μπάλα αφού είχε κερδίσει το Champions League με την Μπαρτσελόνα και το Παγκόσμιο Κύπελλο με την Ισπανία. Ο Jude Bellingham κατακτά το Kopa Trophy (καλύτερου νέου ποδοσφαιριστή), ο Emiliano Martínez το Yashin Trophy (καλύτερου τερματοφύλακα), ο Vinícius Júnior το Socrates Award (για κοινωνικό και φιλανθρωπικό έργο), ο Erling Haaland το Gerd Müller Trophy (για πρώτο σκόρερ). Η καλύτερη ομάδα είναι για 2η συνεχόμενη χρονιά η Manchester City ενώ η FC Barcelona παραλαμβάνει το Women’s Club of the Year award που δίδεται για πρώτη φορά.
Lionel Messi wins the Ballon d’Or award for a record-extending eighth time after leading Argentina to the World Cup title last year at the 67th annual ceremony presented by France Football at the "Theatre du Chatelet" in Paris. Aitana Bonmatí won her first Ballon d'Or Féminin, after she won the 2022–23 Women's Champions League with FC Barcelona and the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup with Spain. Jude Bellingham was given the Kopa Trophy, Emiliano Martínez won the Yashin Trophy, the Socrates Award was given to Vinícius Júnior, Erling Haaland claimed the Gerd Müller Trophy, the Men's Club of the Year award went to Manchester City for the second year in a row and FC Barcelona received the inaugural Women's Club of the Year award.
