Η 33χρονη Μαρία Πρεβολαράκη νικά με 4-3 τη Ρουμάνα Andreea Ana (νούμερο 1 στην παγκόσμια κατάταξη) στον τελικό της κατηγορίας των 53 κιλών στο Ευρωπαϊκό Πρωτάθλημα Πάλης στην Μπρατισλάβα, Σλοβακία και κατακτά το πρώτο της χρυσό μετάλλιο στη διοργάνωση. Συνολικά έχει ακόμη 4 αργυρά (2013, 2014, 2021, 2022) και 4 χάλκινα (2017, 2018, 2023, 2024).
Greek wrestler Maria Prevolaraki reaches the top of European wrestling, winning her first-ever gold medal after defeating Romanian Andreea Ana with 4-3 at the the women’s freestyle 53kg at the European Wrestling Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia. This is her 9th medal in the competition, as she has already won 4 silver (2013, 2014, 2021, 2022) and 4 bronze (2017, 2018, 2023, 2024).
