Ο Στάθης Γαβάκης, ο εκφωνητής που για αρκετά χρόνια συντρόφευε τους οπαδούς των Πειραιωτών σε «Γ. Καραϊσκάκης» και ΣΕΦ, πεθαίνει σε ηλικία 87 ετών. Στις 12/5/2021, φώναξε για τελευταία φορά «γκοοοολ» από το μικρόφωνο του Καραϊσκάκη, όταν ο Γιώργος Μασούρας παραβίασε την εστία του ΠΑΟΚ στη νίκη με 1-0, στον δρόμο προς το 46ο πρωτάθλημα της ιστορίας των «ερυθρόλευκων».
Stathis Gavakis, the announcer who for several years accompanied Olympiacos’ fans in "Georgios Karaiskakis" stadium and Peace & Friendship Stadium, dies at the age of 87. On 12/5/2021, he shouted "goal" for the last time from Karaiskakis’ microphone, when Giorgos Masouras scored against PAOK (1-0), on the way to the 46th championship in the history of the club.
