Η Εθνική ομάδα μπάσκετ σκοράρει 101 πόντους εναντίον των Αμερικανών, που απαντούν με 95 και προκρίνεται στον τελικό του Μουντομπάσκετ της Ιαπωνίας γράφοντας τη μεγαλύτερη επιτυχία στην ιστορία της. Είναι η πρώτη νίκη επί των Αμερικανών, είναι η πρώτη φορά, που η ελληνική ομάδα φτάνει τόσο ψηλά σε Μουντομπάσκετ (στην Αθήνα το 1998 ήταν τέταρτη) και ο Γιώργος Βασιλακόπουλος δηλώνει “είναι η μεγαλύτερη στιγμή της ζωής μου”
National Basketball team score 101 points against USA, who reply with 95 and Greece qualify to the final of Worldbasket in Japan achieving the biggest success in their history. It is the first time that the Greek team beat the Americans, it is the first time, that the Greek team reaches this level in Worlbasket (in Athens in 1998 the Greeks finished fourth).
