H Bayern Munich κατακτά το Champions League νικώντας την Borussia Dortumund με 2-1 στο Wembley του Λονδίνου, στον πρώτο τελικό στην ιστορία της διοργάνωσης που αποτελείται από 2 γερμανικές ομάδες. Με τον τίτλο αυτό φτάνει στην τρίτη θέση της λίστας με τις ομάδες που έχουν κατακτήσει τον τίτλο 5 φορές μετά την Real Madrid CF (9 τίτλοι) και την Milan (7 τίτλοι). Ο προπονητής της Jupp Heynckes γίνεται ένας από τους 4 (Ernst Happel, José Mourinho και Ottmar Hitzfeld) που έχουν κατακτήσει τον τίτλο με διαφορετικές ομάδες.
Bayern München wins the 2013 UEFA Champions League by defeating Borussia Dortumund 2-1 in the first all-German final in Wembley, London. Bayern becomes the second side to recover from a UEFA Champions League final loss to triumph the next year, matching AC Milan's redemptive win in 1994. Bayern are now joint third, behind Real Madrid CF (9 titles) and AC Milan (7 titles), in the list of the European Cup's most successful clubs after claiming their fifth title. Jupp Heynckes joins Ernst Happel, José Mourinho and his predecessor in Munich, Ottmar Hitzfeld, as one of four coaches to have won the European Cup with different sides.
